Privacy Policy
Effective September 2, 2026
This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it and the choices available to you.
The short version
We collect the information needed to respond to requests, arrange campaigns, work with publishers and operate this website. We do not sell personal information.
Information we collect
- Information you submit through our forms, such as your name, work email, phone number, company and website.
- Campaign, company and publisher details you share with us so that we can recommend and arrange placements.
- Basic website usage and device information, such as pages visited, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser type and referring page.
- Correspondence and transaction records, including emails, proposals, approvals and invoices.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. This website is intended for businesses and professionals.
How we use information
We use information to respond to requests, recommend placements, coordinate campaigns, administer publisher relationships, improve our services and meet legal obligations. Specifically, we may use it to:
- reply to a request you submit and ask follow-up questions;
- prepare a recommendation and, if you proceed, run the campaign;
- introduce approved inventory to suitable advertisers, where you are a publisher;
- send occasional advice by email, if you subscribed — every message includes an unsubscribe link;
- keep accounting, tax and legal records;
- understand how the website is used and keep it secure.
We do not use automated decision-making to make decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
When information is shared
Campaign information may be shared with relevant publishers, service providers and professional advisers when necessary to deliver the requested work.
- Publishers. To place a campaign we share the creative, the landing page and the advertiser’s business name with the publications, newsletters and podcasts running it. We do not share your personal contact details with publishers unless you ask us to.
- Service providers. We use third-party services to host this website (Cloudflare), deliver form submissions (FormSubmit), send email, store files and keep our accounts. They may process information only on our instructions.
- Payments. Ready-made purchases are processed by Stripe on an account held by The Good Work Club, the company behind The Ad Mart. Card details are entered on Stripe’s hosted checkout and never reach our servers. Stripe’s handling of your information is described in its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email, billing address, the items purchased and the notes you add at checkout.
- Professional advisers and authorities. We may disclose information to accountants, lawyers, insurers or a regulator or court where the law requires it or where it is necessary to protect our rights.
- Business transfers. If The Ad Mart is sold or merged, information may be transferred to the new owner under the same commitments.
We never sell personal information and we do not share it with data brokers.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to understand how our website is used and to improve its performance. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
Our hosting provider sets strictly necessary cookies for security and performance. If we use an analytics service, it is configured to anonymise IP addresses where possible and is not used to build advertising profiles. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from using the site or submitting a request.
Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as needed to deliver services and meet legal requirements. We take reasonable steps to protect information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
As a guide: enquiries we do not proceed with are deleted within 12 months; campaign records and correspondence are kept for the life of the relationship plus the period required for tax and accounting purposes (typically seven years); newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with providers that maintain recognised security certifications. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information. You can also opt out of non-essential communications.
Depending on where you live you may also have the right to restrict or object to processing, to receive a copy of your information in a portable format and to withdraw consent. Where processing depends on consent, withdrawing it does not affect anything done before. We will respond to a verified request within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to your local privacy regulator.
International transfers
We are based in Canada. Service providers we use may store information in Canada, the United States or the European Union. Where information leaves the country it was collected in, we rely on the provider’s contractual safeguards to protect it.
